Another survey of the Small Red-Eyed Damselfly population on the reserve produced quite a surprise in terms of numbers present, 180+ males, 70 females, 63 coupled pairs most of which were ovipositing. These numbers may indicate that they are still on the move within the county and more insects are still arriving!
Other species recorded were; Brown Hawker - 250+ Southern Hawker - 3 Migrant Hawker - 2 Common Darter - 150+ Ruddy Darter - 100+ Emperor - 7 Black-Tailed Skimmer - 50+ Four-Spotted Chaser - 5 Common Blue Damselfly Blue-Tailed Damselfly White-Legged Damselfly Red-Eyed Damselfly Emerald Damselfly Banded Demoiselle ArchivesJuly 2006 August 2006 September 2006 October 2006 November 2006 April 2007 May 2007 June 2007 July 2007 August 2007
