Latest Leics & Rutland Dragonfly Sightings

Priory Water 9th/10th June 2007

Good numbers of all 13 species recorded.
Black-Tailed Skimmer - large scale emergence taking place with over 100 tenerals counted on the 10th.
Emperor - Several mature & semi-mature males now patroling lake edges
Four-Spotted Chaser - Still emerging and present in large numbers
Broad-bodied Chaser - never a common species on the reserve but still present

All Damselflies recorded in excellent numbers.
Red-Eyed Damselfly
Banded White-Legged Damselfly
Blue-Tailed Damselfly
Common Blue Damselfly
Azure Damselfly
Variable Damselfly
Large Red Damselfly
Emerald Damselfly
