Priory Water 8th May 2008

A quick walk around this evening produced the first Variable Damselfly of the season, a single teneral male, unfortunately it didn't stay around long enough for its photo to be taken!. There are now large numbers of Large Red Damselflies, many of them now fully mature. Azure Damselfly numbers are also increasing daily. We are expecting the first Dragonflies any day now!
